About Be Responsible
bE-Responsible initiative is addressing a critical gap in waste management, i.e. collection and disposal of non-bulk e-waste. Increased consumerism in addition to higher rate of obsolescence makes it imperative to make people aware and provide suitable options for responsible disposal. Consumer responsibility is key to reducing the problem of waste in our country
The collected e-waste is moved to our KSPCB authorized collection centre. The recycler then further sorts into various categories and shares the material recovery report with us through which we get to know the details of the metals being recovered, toxic and shares the material recovery report with us through which we get to know the details of the metals being recovered, toxicmetals being diverted, etc

Chirag -E-Hero & Volunteer for our programme- I have seen many organisations that identify e-waste as a problem to solve. Despite trying to collect the e-waste or place bins, there was not much movement. The bE-Responsible campaign took an end-to-end approach of awareness, translating into a collection and then working with the authorised recyclers. This completes the circle. I am working with the campaign for the last 3 years and it has come a far away. It works :)

I am Nandhini from Adarsh Rhythm Apartment. While we were handling our wet waste, dry waste and sanitary waste efficiently, we were more than happy to tie up with bE-responsible for handling the e-waste segment. We are happy that we have a found a responsible partner in Saahas Ensyde in handling one of the most hazardous category of waste through the authorised recyclers. The pick-up is regular and the usage of battery operated vehicle is appreciated. Happy to be contributing positively to the earth.

Pravir Bagrodia- Since my meeting with Ensyde team in which I was introduced to the Ensyde-Saahas bE-Responsible programme, I was able to organize an awareness session and a couple of e-waste collection drives at my workplace. In addition, I could get the support of Whitefield Rising citizens group to install collection bins at a few places, conduct collection drives in the area and organize awareness sessions in schools and residential complexes.
