Residents of Indiranagar celebrated e-waste day with an e-waste collection drive by EnSyde, Saahas, HAL 3rd stage Tax Payers and Residents Association and i Change Indiranagar in association with Bangalore Mirror across four locations.
Around 140 kg of e-waste was collected from homes. These included printers, monitors,cables, toasters, microwaves, CFLs and tubelights. Ameya Neelam, Project Coordinator from EnSyde, says,”We are planning to hold e-waste days on every second or third Saturdays of each month from now on.” The collected e waste was sent to Karnataka State Pollution Control Board’s recycling units.
